After a Spirit Airlines pilot received news that the company was officially ceasing its operations during a flight, he made an emotional announcement to thank passengers and crew for their support over the years.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said those traveling with Spirit Airlines should not show up at the airport, but instead try to rebook with another carrier that's assisting flyers amid Spirit's immediate shutdown on Saturday.
